Too early to write him off, but I think he needs to get shot of the diet routine at the very least.....

No, for once I agree with Taylors ass, soz mean Pyke. I think he is to self motivated to continue the slump. Probe by matchplay when his weight has settled ad he is use to his new darts he will be back.

He's sure to carry on playing due to his new contract but I think, for whatever reason, that currently his bottle has gone.

People said the same when he was beaten by Adrian Gray in the Grand Prix in Dublin a good few years back.

Not a chance is he finished.

Was that surrounded by results like last night? The ones in weeks 1-3 of the PL? His Worlds performance?

He was hardly up against the quality of players in the Premier League back then as he is now and did he not have a similar performance v Mardle in the Worlds and he came back better than ever?

This defeat tonight will either be the total breaking of him or the wake up call he really needed.

It is clear that whether the darts are good or not they simply don't suit his game and everything is drifting to the left.

He needs to change his darting equipment immediately ,what too i don't know but i expect he will have different darts or new set up by next weeks PL.

Hardly

Even if he stayed at tonight level of form he could easy return to the BDO and win another dozen or so Lakesides

Taylor has struggled in the past with form when he lost weight
struggled when his personal life was in disarray
and when he changed darts.

Now he is ALL THREE , ok he was very poor tonight, but once he gets used to the darts, his personal life settles down and gets a handle on his fitness he will be back.

Not saying he will win the matchplay, but expect a marked improvement, he has been written off countless times over the last 2 decades, and while tonight he was shite, his pl performances were hardly shabby with around a 100 tournament average

They look extremely similar to his Unicorn phase 5's. Poor excuse.

Dont like stating the obvious, however hes edging ever closer to collecting his bus pass. He was never gonna go on forever. To compare his physical and mental state to that of a decade or two ago when he was much younger is foolish imo.
