You would think Sky do their homework and therefore see viewing numbers reduce over longer formats - ie the casual viewer doesn't endure the longer format. I wonder if it's anything to do with the one-sided final last year?

It can't be due to it finishing too late, as it will be earlier than the first five days.

I hope it's a one off and they don't do it (or try to do it) with all tournaments. I also hope it isn't Sky losing interest with PDC darts either.

Have any of you folks ever been involved in the running (or helping at) kids clubs of any kind? 6-10yr olds? If so there is usually at least 1 kid who will cry as soon as he (or his team) doesn't win the game, or if things don't go his way. Annoying at times (hey, maybe some of us was that kid when we were that age) but you know they will grow out of it.

Unless their name is Raymond Van Barneveld!

But I cant remember who run this comp, anyone here entered and remember?

Bunting gonna be all over that, far to strong for Richie

It certainly can when you loose a set and then win the next one 3-0. Amazing

At least the BDO have a Dr in the back room of Lakeside to sort the players out. PDC could learn a thing or 2 from the BDO

More intriguing games tonight.

Richie Burnett has had a great week, but then so has Stephen Bunting - so that could go either way.

I think Gary Anderson, Phil Taylor and MvG will come through their games - but wouldn't be surprised to see them go to a 5th set.

Barney was a disgrace last night. Faking injury and then just throwing his darts away. If there is a bigger toys out the pram player in the PDC then I aint seen em.

Agreed , for me he took the game into disrepute and if his attitude does not pick up hope he gets binned from the premier league

Based on his likely ranking and recent results I think you're right, but as he's Barney and actually the holder then there's no chance of that...they won't bin the defending champ , although if he wasn't the holder I would say there were more reasons to bin him than they had for Wade.
