Re: Grand Slam Of Darts - Discussion
i think Norris will have a good run. also looking forward to Wade v Jabba i think it will be a 5-4 either way game
Re: Grand Slam Of Darts - Discussion
Its my third fave comp of the year after Ally Pally and Lakeside.
Really hope Norris can have a good run and hope to see another different winner as opposed to the likely duo of Taylor and MVG.

Gotta feeling Kist could be a surprise package, agree that Barneveld v Kong is the stand out game of first day.
Re: Grand Slam Of Darts - Discussion
Interesting line ups.
Be good to see how Norris and Robbie Green go.
Quite like Harms as well.
Think Richie George might struggle against Taylor.

A lot of people are writing George off and probably with good reason. But there will be little pressure on him and he might surprise, I say might.

Both can be brilliant and also dodgy on their doubles so you could have good tv where both miss 6 darts at the doubles in each leg!IanJackson wrote:Anderson v Winstanley could be close

In my top 3 of comps behind Open and Mumbles Pairs.
So many match ups we usually do not get to see.

Like being a twattt ?? So why no Twattt me, I'm on twattter so just Twatttt me on @Welsh_Wayne
Re: Grand Slam Of Darts - Discussion
If he has a decent GSOD and wins Lakeside, Norris will 100% switch. He wants that. It's written all over his attitude in those video/press bits above. But Lakeside is within his touching distance and he'll wait to get that first, just like Bunting.

The short format is his only hope really.Col wrote:A lot of people are writing George off and probably with good reason. But there will be little pressure on him and he might surprise, I say might.

First to 5 makes some of those games a lottery.
RJR to beat Adrian Lewis? If Rowby plays like he can, chance of the commentators going wild with biggest upset ever, but having RJR play on the floor, I give him a fighting chance.

Wright v Dolan has 5-4 written all over it
Re: Grand Slam Of Darts - Discussion
Dekker to beat Huybrechts at 2/1, I've seen worse bets than thatcrispy1978 wrote:First to 5 makes some of those games a lottery.

Kong V Barney all depends on how Kong starts, if he can stay with Barney for 3 legs and be 2-1 up we may see Barney start to doubt, however the same the other way. Really hope Kong does well, a good go here would be a massive confidence boost for Lakeside and belief, have told Kong that once he trust's himself he can start winning big event's.
Thinking of one.
