Surely the issue is that he doesn't need to care - in the last two years Anderson has won at least £1,264,298, according to Darts Database, which doesn't include some of the World Series events. Over £1 million of that has come in 2 world championship wins, and non-ranking exbos and tournaments. Why should he care if he loses? He's guaranteed to qualify for every major there is, does the minimum needed to get to UK Open and Euro tour, and has won the one that really matters twice!T14T11 wrote:No, no, no. All of these games against the same opponents mean everything to these guys. Whether it's playing in front of the fantasists/failures that inhabit Dubai, or the WMP semi final, it's life and death stuff. Rod said so.Rout wrote:Anderson in not caring about darts shocker.
Isn't the risk that some players near the top of the PDC really don't need to care that much about other majors if they win the World Championship, as the difference between winning that and any of the others grows so large that your place in the top two or three in the world is almost guaranteed for two years if you win the big one, and you're almost guaranteed to be in PL and World Series as well?
