Includes a certain Wesley Newton! They've announced the prize money for the WDF event - not quite sure how the mens event got WDF Cat 1 status. The EDO website has the ladies getting the higher prize money, another bit of simple proof reading not done:

think this is a good move from wes (if confirmed) his confidence must be low ,little chance of appearing on the big stage any time soon in front of crowds must not be good to be constantly winning zilch, knowing what he achieved to where he is now, think this is a good way (different scene/ crowds /atmosphere) to try to resurrect his darts & gain confidence,

Just after a quick look.

The youth event is £5 entry and £500 payout.

The women’s WDF ranked event is £12 entry and £498 payout. Surely if all women who are there entered they would take in approx £1200.

Am I missing something here???

Wdf cats are awarded on numbers not money , they would have looked at previous years attendance at festival .

Many will miss Friday morning event as not BDO ranked. Similar to Jersey where after the previous nights ranked event not all the ladies attend the singles in the morning , lay in or still getting home from the Quids inn .

Ok. Just seems a strange one to me.

Thought the whole idea was having the captive audience there for this event on the Friday. That’s why the ranked events were on the Thursday so the players were already in the area.

Oh well, Prob a shopping day then on the Friday.

Seeds have been announced - looks like the Masters event is using WDF rankings:

Good to see James Hurrell back.

Looks like Dean Winstanley is giving BDO a try as well as Wes Newton and Andy Hamilton
