The men in positions 1 to 128 inclusive of the BDO Women’s Main Invitation Rolling Tables as valid on 30th August 2018
It used to be the top 20 not qualified through all the other routes. Anyone any ideas which high profile player missed out last year which necessitated this change? Also do you get many men in the womens rolling table?
Oh and there is also this:
3.03 Conditions of Invitation Acceptance
a. By accepting the invitation to participate in the 2018 Men’s or Women’s section of the World Masters Championship each player agrees that should he/she be successful in winning the World Masters men’s or women’s Championship he/she will commit to participation as an invited player in the 2019 BDO World Professional Championships Finals
They are clearly still hurting about the Mighty Pole

In the case of Ratajski if this condition had been in place, he would simply have ignored it.
Other than holding the winner's prize money until January, how is this enforceable.
Indeed. They cant withhold Masters money for 3 months, much easier to withhold Lakeside money until the Q School deadline passes (as its only the week later) so I cant see them having much joy with this one
I wonder what would happen, if they moved q-school to early december? If players that have qualified for the Lakeside won a card before that ,it would leave them in a massive bind in trying to get replacement players in.

Why would the PDC move it when they have the worlds and players championships on during that period

Understandable why they have changed the rule. You could say it shows the BDO are flexible but isn't it a case that they are no longer a visionary org but rather just one that reacts to whatever circumstances happen.
