Ineligible Player Wins NZ Masters!!
A certain Cody Harris popped home and cleaned up at the BDO ranked Puma NZ Masters - bit of a problem when he's played several PCs on the Pro Tour!

Re: Ineligible Player Wins NZ Masters!!
Goes to show how little authority the BDO have across the world currently
Re: Ineligible Player Wins NZ Masters!!
Why should any non-British national org care what the BDO thinks at this point in time, with the only stick still left in the BDO's arsenal (Lakeside) potentially about to be blunted? If the Lakeside goes or gets significantly diminished, there's zero reason for anyone to adhere to BDO playing rules any longer.

Before we carry on with this thread, can we please check that Chris is happy with it?

It's hard enough to make ends meet without having so called "Professionals" swan in and take the shoes off of the feet of the children of amateur players. Selfish and greedy if you ask me.

I assume Paddy made his feelings known to the organisers of the Las Vegas Open about this kind of thing when he attended it the other year, who let PDC players participate?

Oh yes, they should never be playing in a BDO sanctioned event, ridiculous decision. They want their cake and to eat it.Ginge wrote:I assume Paddy made his feelings known to the organisers of the Las Vegas Open about this kind of thing when he attended it the other year, who let PDC players participate?

So you had a chat to the organisers when you played in Vegas about this then, I assume?Paddy McGinty wrote:Oh yes, they should never be playing in a BDO sanctioned event, ridiculous decision. Presumably if they're amateurs they have a separate, larger, source of income and so don't need darts winnings to feed and clothe their offspring. Otherwise they'd by definition be professional.Paddy McGinty wrote:It's hard enough to make ends meet without having so called "Professionals" swan in and take the shoes off of the feet of the children of amateur players. Your thinking seems muddled on this.

In fact, I'll go further. If Mr Harris is indeed professional, and relies on earnings from darts to put food on the family table, I'd say he's got a moral obligation to hoover up as much prize money as he can, wherever he can. Good for him.

That's it mate, stamp on the little man. As long as you're alright that's all that matters......very sad.Buzz Fledderjohn wrote:In fact, I'll go further. They have their own comps to play in as you know very well. If they can't make a living they should get a proper job not steal it off other more deserving players.Buzz Fledderjohn wrote:Presumably if they're amateurs they have a separate, larger, source of income and so don't need darts winnings to feed and clothe their offspring.
