Yes it does. Bates can play in the Gold Cup

Only participation in a Players Championship event means a player is ineligible for BDO event.

Not Pro tour. Barry Lynn played Euro tour and is playing in this

Yes it does.

Rules pretty complicated, but for me the more players allowed to take advantage of playing in both codes the better.

As an example Labanauskas whilst still playing the Bdo tour could qualify for the European Championship which is a PDC Major. And who can forget European Tour regular Ratajski winning the Masters last year.
