Just realised, but Peter Wright's withdrawal this week plus Rob Cross's decision not to enter the next two Euro Tour events means Michael van Gerwen is now guaranteed to be the #1 seed at the World Championship, even if he takes the next 3 months off.

Van de Pas has gone of the edge of a cliff. Action was always suspect to pressure, sad to see but I can't see him making s comeback.

No because it’s a case of hitting the treble and double or not so. It's gonna be tense for Cadby if he has to wait out what happens on the pro tour. Obviously it's gonna be tense anyway whether they release his passport in time. Probably the only back up he has is the last agp weekend from tomorrow onwards, where he could still top the agp rankings

MICK McGOWAN and Kevin Burness will compete for a place in the William Hill World Darts Championship next month after reaching the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final.
Saturday saw the early rounds of the annual championship in Tramore take place as players from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland began the challenge for the top domestic honour.
Two-time champion McGowan remains on course to recapture the title he previously won in 2015 and 2016 as he won through to the decider.
Newtownards-based Burness, 52, surpassed his run to the 2012 semi-finals as he progressed to face McGowan at the Citywest Hotel on Saturday October 6.
The Irish Matchplay final will be held ahead of the Unibet World Grand Prix final on stage at the Citywest Hotel, with the winner progressing to the World Championship.
Tickets to watch the Unibet World Grand Prix and Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final are still available.

Thanks to Burton.
Ritchie Edhouse and Darren Johnson move into a tie for the final two World Championship spots with Ross Smith and Ryan Searle, although they tentatively sit just outside on countback. Only 6 ProTour events (2 Euro Tours and 4 Players Championships) left in the season.

JP is now looking very vulnerable as he slides into the danger zone. I’m sure there will be a mixed response on that one if he doesn’t make it.

DIOGO PORTELA has secured a return to the William Hill World Darts Championship after winning the South & Central American Qualifier.
Portela made history as the first Brazilian to compete in the World Championship when he faced Peter Wright at Alexandra Palace, where he lost 3-1 in sets.
Portela has continued to compete on the PDC circuit this year, winning a Unicorn Challenge Tour event in January after narrowly missing out on a Tour Card at Qualifying School.
However, the 30-year-old defeated Guyana's Sudesh Fitzgerald 6-4 in the final of the South & Central American Qualifier.
Fitzgerald - who competed in the 2009 World Championship at Alexandra Palace - led 4-3 with a break of throw, only to see Portela claim the next three legs as he claimed victory.
Portela's World Cup of Darts team-mate Bruno Rangel was a semi-finalist on the day, before losing out to Fitzgerald.
