Wasn't there fallout between them because they had the 'Men in black' gig going for exbo's and then Anderson didn't inform Robson of his switch? So Ian White’s win moves him up one place above Max Hopp to #12 in ranking. Replacing his top of the non qualified Pro Tour winners with top of ET winners on the reserve list.
Must almost certainly guarantee him the GSOD place, as would need to get outsiders in final at Grand Prix, and 1 or 2 out of Chisnall, Whitlock or Guerney to get to Champions League final or an outsider at the World Series final.

You will never be able to fill this event with champions.phil davies wrote:Utterly crap already we have a winner in aspinall that will not qualify and probably more before the end and yet we will have 8 random qualifiers for what was supposed to be a champion of champions type event.

Shouldn't be ranked anyway - cross-code event and includes winners or runners-up from non-ranked and exhibition events. Agree that qualifiers aren't necessary, certainly not 8!

The best thing to do is include everyone who has won a Pro tour/Euro tour event. If their's no qualifiers then so be it

GERWYN PRICE'S maiden European Tour title has seen him join the provisional qualifiers for the bwin Grand Slam of Darts.
The former UK Open finalist won the International Darts Open in Riesa on Sunday with an 8-3 defeat of Simon Whitlock in the final to provisionally secure a spot in Wolverhampton.
The prestigious event will take place from November 10-18 at the Aldersley Leisure Village as the traditional Wolverhampton Civic Hall venue undergoes refurbishment.
In honour of late darts legend Eric Bristow MBE, this year's event will see the 32 players competing for the Eric Bristow Trophy for the first time.
Reigning Grand Slam champion Michael van Gerwen is joined by World Champion Rob Cross, World Matchplay champion Gary Anderson and Blackpool runner-up Mensur Suljovic in confirmed places in the field.
World Youth Champion Dimitri van den Bergh, World Cup winner Raymond van Barneveld and TV finalists Peter Wright, Michael Smith, Josh Payne, Corey Cadby and Jonny Clayton are also set to compete in Wolverhampton.
First-time European Tour winners Price and Ian White are among the players to have secured a provisional place in the field.
PDC players can still qualify for the event at the Champions League, World Grand Prix, European Championship and World Series of Darts Finals in the coming months.

Well given they have done poorly over the last 4 years, with Durrant's last 16 win over Chisnall being the only knockout round victory by a BDO player, it is pretty difficult to imagine they have done better than you think, unless you are a seriously deluded individual.thelad1985 wrote:The BDO lads always do better than you think - Maybe they will surprise themselves again this year - Duzza is one of 4 players that can win it - One of the best all round shooters in the businesss -

Depends on what your expectations are, some are capable of raising their game when playing against a higher average but eventually they can't keep it up in the longer format most of the time.thelad1985 wrote:The BDO lads always do better than you think - Maybe they will surprise themselves again this year - Duzza is one of 4 players that can win it - One of the best all round shooters in the businesss -
