Missed this afternoon's action due to work commitments, and it looks like it was a great session.

Evening session not started badly either. Great 5th leg there. Gurney on a nine after 6, and MVG takes out 161 for a 12 dart finish.

Only 3 of the final 8 would I like to see pick up the trophy - Chizzy, Northy & Cross. Not keen/can't stand the other 5. Shame, hopefully the European Championship in a couple of weeks will make up for it.

Looking forward to Van Gerwen-Smith, both seem to be in top shape this weekend.

A win would also make him #2 seed for the european championships
put him in the top ten
and also get him in the Grand slam i think

Don't think a Wade win would be enough to get him the No2 seeding.

According to Burton Mensur has already guaranteed himself the second spot.

The field is set for Dortmund, although the seeds are still to be determined. Michael van Gerwen (1), Mensur Suljovic (2), and Paul Nicholson (32) know where they'll be seeded. The other 29 seedings are still to play for tonight.

Wade finally with a good run on a big stage, was very average today against a poor Webster and average at points yesterday, but tonight has really stepped it up when he needed to.

However, Wade really needs a good run at the Euros, Grand Slam, Players Champs & Worlds as he will be defending 1/2 final, final, 2nd round & 1/4 final runs from 2016 in those 4 respective events. Pretty sure his top 16 space is therefore in doubt depending on his results in the next 2-3 months...

7 legs down and Wade is averaging 75 yet he still has 3 legs to his name with 15, 17 & 18 dart legs due to lapses from van Gerwen.
