I guess it’s the afternoon sessions plus final which will be free on Quest. That’s what they do with their snooker coverage when it’s not an event they share with the BBC.

Doesn’t look like all of Europe with Eurosport as only mentions TV coverage in UK, Netherlands and Australia. Presume rest of the world will get a stream on the BDO YouTube channel.

Agree this is a hell of a lot better than the talked about Premier Sports plus Freesports possibility.

Quest has almost nationwide coverage on Freeview unlike Freesports (where you also need an HD box or TV tuner as well), plus Eurosport is included in all the pay tv packages unlike Premier Sports which is only inclusive in some Virgin packages otherwise being an extra cost option.

At least Eurosport player is decent and priced well i used it for the french open tennis and was great quality you even get a free 7 day trial on first sign up

I'm guessing afternoon sessions will be Quest and Evening sessions Eurosport with final on both

Very encouraging news for the BDO.

I don't disagree that we should not be going overboard with this as sponsorship, venues, prize money and ticket sales are elements still to be confirmed, but you have to start somewhere, and the tv coverage is good news.

Well done BDO, some continuity with their coverage. A good deal.
All that's left is to put Lakeside tickets on sale so i can buy some.

Indeed. Des couldn't interfere or it would have been the 28th contract breach.

No different to Auntie Sue trying to take the credit for Channel 4.

Great deal

Not perfect, not being on YouTube and only being on the Eurosport player is going to upset some people as it means it’s going to be geoblocked

The bdo release also makes sure it doesn’t say the word lakeside once

Wonder if the pdc are going to rescind any recent offers for help now the bdo are doubling down on competing with them
