When will lakeside/or any other venue gets announced
Re: When will lakeside/or any other venue gets announced
Not sure if this works through google translate, an article by Ron van den Berg on DFz.
RvB is a retired footballer (Rotterdam) and wrote a column for Dartfeakz about the supposed good news coming out of the BDO camp.
Also insightful about his thoughts on the PDC.

Both Fanatics sites are a bag of shite...the original one always has been...the real Fanatics started off ok but is actually just as bad as Egerton's one now..

Agreed started off promising, but has become Paul's 'right to reply'. And seems to be putting off people posting.trotter wrote:Both Fanatics sites are a bag of shite...the original one always has been...the real Fanatics started off ok but is actually just as bad as Egerton's one now..

Can't read that link. I am guessing using the term "supposed good news" means he isn't singing des ' praises?
Hot Potatoes: the very best of Devo.
Re: When will lakeside/or any other venue gets announced
He was basically saying it is not any news at all. Lakeside is not new. And Eurosport has previously shown BDO darts.devosteve wrote:Can't read that link. I am guessing using the term "supposed good news" means he isn't singing des ' praises?
Re: When will lakeside/or any other venue gets announced
A quick question or two.
Has the prize fund been confirmed?
Have any sponsors been confirmed (including Lakeside)?
Not that this would cause any hiccups in the future, of course.

The Dutch Darts Association (NDB) and Winmau are pleased to announce that they have signed a new exclusive sponsorship agreement. Winmau is the world’s leading darts brand and has been the official partner of the NDB for several years and will continue to do so for the next three years.
The darts brand will also be the title sponsor of the Winmau Six Nations Cup 2019, which will be organised in the Netherlands, and also the live streamed Winmau NDB Ranking Circuit.
The association also sees Winmau work closely with the NDB as a supporter of the world’s largest open darts tournament – the Dutch Open. The 2018 edition of this amazing event attracted over 5,700 participants across the men’s, women’s, youth and disability categories!
"We continue our good relationship with Winmau and that makes us really happy. We have been working together for several years now and can always count on their support. To have the world's largest darts brand as an official partner is of course invaluable to the NDB on many different levels. We want to thank Winmau for the trust and the support and the pleasant cooperation," says Paul Engelbertink, Marketing Manager of the NDB.
Ian Flack, Sales and Marketing Director of Winmau added: “The NDB are one of the most professional, forward-thinking partners that we work with, and the sport is in amazing hands with them at the helm. They never stop looking at ways to improve and put the players at the heart of everything they do. We are lucky to be working so closely with the NDB team and have no doubt that the future of Dutch darts is very bright.”

Duzza confirming prize fund is £329K on FB.
Breakdown of this is not confirmed. I hope a "9 dart finish" amount is not included in the figure.

Think you expecting things to happen too quickly. The long term broadcasting deal is a great start but you will probaby need to wait until next year before the sponsors are in place to enable decent increases in the prize funds.

This isn't going to happen there is no multi national company out there who is sat on their hands with money to spend on promoting their brand thinking we need to get our name all over EurosportAstonvilla wrote:Think you expecting things to happen too quickly. Big thanks to Sally and Bob for the prize.
Had a throw with the darts and was surprised how good they are, hit 8 or 9 180s in about an hour of playing.
