I really don’t know why this keeps being brought up, everyone knows it’s up to 24, even football youth teams go up to under 23 now, it’s a pointless argument
Isn’t Martin Schindler 22, i.e. the same age as Thomas Lovely?

He lost to Van den Bergh in the last 16 so I’m guessing that’s what his gripe is

Lovely is actually 6 weeks older than Schindler. Maybe Lovely is complaining because he wishes he was younger.

It's just another stick to beat the PDC with. Giving more opportunities for younger players to play in their system is a bad thing.

In a sport where you can play at a high level into for late 40s/early 50s, it really isn't an issue. And they know that.

Couldn't see Lovely moaning. Wasn't it others making an issue re the ages?

Bottom line: it's the development tour not youth your. But it doesn't work calling it the 'world development tour championship.'

One of these days he will be in the oldest age group so should win the whole thing then.

Apparently the older you get the better you get so he should be fine.

Either that or expect him not to feature on the development tour next year!

Sidenote: the average age of debut in major league baseball is over 23.

In a repetitive game like darts, it _should_ take time for talent to reach the top level.
