Had to register by 4pm, so if they are in the draw, would presume they are there.Bram_1900 wrote:Matthew fekkin Edgar.

Incidentally, this is also good news for Andrew Gilding who is now in pole position to qualify if/when Cadby pulls out.mik252 wrote:So according to Burton, a Martin Schindler vs Dimitri van den Bergh World Youth Championship final means that Mathew Edgar has now qualified for Ally Pally.

So they are talking some 200 players then. Will be interesting to see the standard across the events and with the take up on this if the PDC look to expand things next year.ssjsa wrote:Tweet from Matt Porter.

This is the PDC. You're asking the wrong question.foggs3355 wrote:Great turnout will that make pdc think do a 4 weekend tour and world pro
Will enough viewers be interested in it, that they can get make money from TV, sponsors and punters?
I don't think they'll do a tour yet. But I do think that these 2 places are the start of _something_.

There's definitely worse players than Ashton with a card I'd say. She'd have to hit a bit of form during the q-school days though, definitely won't be easy.phil davies wrote:For a women good enough to win a tour card bit extremeDavidOwen67 wrote:Forgive me if I don't hold my breath for the next 120 years whilst I wait for this.phil davies wrote:Hopefully the start of women trying to get tour cards and if not then play the challenge your until one comes through good enough to win one.1205 wrote:This is the PDC. Think Ashton could win one TBH.
Re: Re: 2019 PDC World Championship- Alexandra Palace, London-13th December 2018- 1st January 2019
Well, we have the results of her 3 Challenge Tour weekends to go on. 2 of those sets of results would leave her miles away from the tour card, the third set would give her barely enough Q School points if she were to reach the same rounds there. However, Q School is significantly tougher than a Challenge Tour weekend: 1) The fields are two to three times larger, so one or two extra games to survive in each tournament, 2) unless you're winning a card outright you've got to keep your form for four days rather than two, and 3) the field includes the additional 30-odd players who've just lost their tour cards, so there are a lot more players who are at least borderline main tour-worthy than in a CT field.
There being worse players than Ashton with a card currently is neither here nor there, anyway. The relevant question is if they were worse than her when they won their tour cards.
