Great first session from Jonny Clayton.

Thought he went the wrong way on the 115 in that last leg.

Surely going for 19s first is the way to go, rather than the 20 route which left him on D19.

I only play darts in my darts room, and would always go for the 19s, but a genuine question for those that actually play. What way would you go on 115?

Clayton brilliant hopefully he can repeat that in the quarters.

Played absolutely brilliant.

Had him at 11/10 to win, so 1st of 3 bets up tonight.

Picked him in the Prediction Competition as well, but don't think anyone will have predicted a 10-3 win for Clayton.

Clayton is closing in on the top 16 aswell will be the firs time in PDC history their will be two Welshman in it at the same time I believe.

Lewis drops £2.5k
van Barneveld drops £10k so will drop to 15th anyway. Cullen up to 14th.

Clayton needs to get to the semi-final to overtake Lewis for 16th.
Clayton needs to get to the final to overtake van Barneveld. But a semi-final loss would put him within £5.5k and van Barneveld reached the quarter-final in the 2016 Players Championship so a semi-final would set him up to take 15th after the Players Championship.

Before anyone says "van Gerwen", not only did he beat him this tournament, he's 2-2 with him overall this year.
