Thank you Unicorn

Post by ssjsa »

Would like to give huge thanks on behalf of the Forum to Matt Rankin, Ed Lowy and the rest of the Unicorn team for their fantastic sponsorship of both the Forum and our Prediction Competitions over the past 7 years.

However all good things have to come to an end, and regretfully we no longer have a sponsorship agreement in place with Unicorn. All prizes up to and including the GSOD will be honoured.

Unicorn have been great for this forum, and I for one will continue to be a customer.

Thank you so much Unicorn, and all the best for the future.

Absolutely. How else are they going to win a free set of darts that cost £150.

Forum done well off Unicorn for many years. I do wonder whether it's somewhat down to what Ginge says about lurkers only here to win a set of £150 darts that appear for sale a few days later.

All said and done thanks to Unicorn for the sponsorship over the years.
Thinking of one.

Nah. They don't care who wins. Just a tightening of belts imo.

Writing was on the wall when the weekly PL prizes stopped.

Well done to Tsod for keeping them on board for as long as they did.

Pretty broad statement. Which products have you bought and been disappointed with.

As John said all good things must come to an end, we'll have a mooch about and see if we can get someone else to give some prizes, Unicorn were effectively giving away over £500 retail of goods every competition and that was always unsustainable as costs rise and margins get squeezed.
Edward and Matt have looked after us well for seven years and we are extremely grateful for their support over that period.

On the plus side Oche has said he has an uneaten pack of crayons he'll donate for the World Championships so we'll have at least one prize :)

Pretty sure that those who have benefited from winning prizes in our Unicorn sponsored competitions would disagree with you Chris. ;-)

Oche is the reason why brother and sister should not be allowed to marry.

I didn't suggest you did, but merely pointed out that those hundreds of prizes donated by Unicorn over the last 7 years, have been good value for those lucky enough to have received them. :WWWW:
