MICHAEL VAN GERWEN tops the 180 chart for PDC events in 2018, with World Champion Rob Cross the only other player to have hit over 500 maximums this year.

Statistical Analyst of the PDC, Christopher Kempf, has ranked the list of 180 hitters so far this year in PDC events.

The list includes all TV and Euro Tour events, all UK Open Qualifiers, Players Championships and UK qualifiers for the Euro Tour, as well as Development Tour events 1-4 and 9-16, Challenge Tour events 5-16, the World Series PDPA qualifier and all non-TV matches from the UK Open.

Also included are any 180s hit while playing a doubles match at the World Cup.

It does not include any non-UK qualifiers for the Euro Tour, the Asian Tour, or any other global tour or qualifying event.

A ranking of players' double accuracy under pressure (last dart in hand, opponent on finish). Further evidence for the unassuming talent of James Wade (#2); his double % under pressure is higher than his overall double %.

The size of fields on the Pro tour and the amount of events mean that the number of longer format matches in the sample is very small and unlikely to skew the data with any signifucance.

Interesting that, the data isn't conclusive given it doesn't include floor events, but there are definitely some surprising ones, some players who haven't had good years have seen their stats shoot up, and some who have had good years have seen them decline
