He can obviously play good darts but so can anyone on the tour and the challenge/develop tours. Stage persona stinks and feel he drags players into scraps ala Price.. TBF Price has started to really play well on tv and maybe doesn't need the antics now? Will be interesting to see how Cadby does progress either way

It's not just that he won matches. He won (and lost) a high proportion of his matches with very good scoring. Remarkably so, really. I would say that he was doing far better than "anyone on the tour".

Could have been a hot start, and he hasn't done anything on stage (2018 UK Open doesn't count) so maybe nothing comes of his career, but he'll do alright for himself if he's only the new Ian White (who he beat in the Players 2 semi-final with a 104.80 average).

I'm not disputing a top 32/16 level player will earn decent wedge. I'm saying he's overrated and shoite to watch.

I think whether people like Cadby and his antics is completely irrelevant to whether he is a good player...he might bug people but to me he is a fantastic talent ..plus I would rather watch Cadby on stage than most others as I find him entertaining...entertaining and a great talent...to me that's what darts needs to appeal to a wider audience

Players that wear their heart on their sleeve will always give the viewer that bit of entertainment but at the same time will always be a target for the usual forum idiots and haters.

I would much rather watch a player play with passion and aggression than someone just going through the motions, Cadby ticks that box

All forms of gamesmanship shop be clamped down on like Mitchell's slow dart retrieval walk as well as Price's recent antics.

If you go back to the golden days Bob Anderson always played with that aggression & Jocky threw and lived every dart passionately but never once was it done to put off an opponent.

Maybe I haven't seen as many Cadby matches as I should. At least, I've not seen him approach Price's level when it comes to OTT behavior. I've enjoyed watching him play, and the few times I've seen him after that match with Price it seemed to me someone must have had a word with him, as he seemed much more toned down and just focusing on his game.

That's utter nonsense. They did everything to put the opponent off in those days.

Cadby was obviously just as good as van gerwen and adrian lewis when he showed is raw talent in his first matches on screen. His game against cullen must have been one of the very best, if not the best 1st round (now 2nd roud) at Ally Pallh in history. Really hope he's back soon, and his recent messages suggest that's whats going to happen in 2019.

Just re-watched the UK Open 2018 Final. Great match. Hope to see more from Cadby, that match was well played, strong performance from a young newcomer vs a two times world champ, and no histrionics like that Anderson-Price match.
