Chris Mason, John Rawling & Paul Nicholson are on comms
Nothing about a presenter which is a bit of a worry
A "worry", huh. Suppose it puts being told last night my gran has cancer for the 4th time into perspective
Sorry to hear that bradders.
Point being it hardly matters, does it? Just be thankful its still on telly and you can watch every dart given the previous board left an utter shitstorm to clean up.
Mase, Rawling and Nicholson on comms indicates to me that it’ll be an IMG production – purely because they’ve done it the last couple of years on C4. If that’s the case, then you have to believe it’ll be a proper broadcast and not just the games with background commentary.
Also, sorry to hear about your Nan Ginge - cancer's a bastard but it's not the horror story it was.
I hope they let John Gwynne have a go on comms. I really enjoy his 45 minute monologues about Lancashire county players from the mid-1970s you've never heard of.

me to would be good for him to return to lakeside wc sure of a warm welcome, he did the early 5 live pieces back in the day i seem to recall, i know he has as many fans as haters but for me he still above private pyke, & studd in sky land, he usually turns up for a day / night session still at ally pally, would be funny if he called both wc over the next 2 months !!
I think if no presenter is not the best just cutting to the live darts and likely little players interview I think they should get one who does the snooker
I agree adding Gwinney to the com box be greats idea he done lots of bdo tv events recently on euro sport

& he brings that depth of knowledge that you don’t buy, I know he can wander on occasionally but it would be better for him being there calling it, I think there will be a presenter hopefully someone up & coming getting a break, but the usual suspects would be fine
Not sure John Rawling would do it if it wasn't a decent production company...he's a proper commentator with a proper CV...from Fury v Wilder to a one camera job with no rights to broadcast any walk on tunes ?...I can't see that to be honest..

He did the 2017 Winmau World Masters - wasn't that a spinning dartboard production?

I have a feeling that it a good production company involved
So do I..it's Lakeside..it's got history and a legacy and it just has to have a good production...they can do whatever they want all year but Lakeside should have proper TV coverage...I cannot see it being on Quest and Eurosport with a sub standard production.
