Why are the latest round of matches worth more points than the previous rounds?

Erm because it's a round further on in the competition and the format has increased?

Just a guess, mind.

Fair enough to increase the points for a correct score as the number of combinations have increased but picking a player to win is still picking a player to win, not sure why that should be worth more points than before.

This is the first time anyone has queried it, every single competition i have run on here where the format has increased has also seen an increase in the point tariff, and I think everyone else has done it the same way.

Think you are moaning for the sake of it tbh.
You could have chosen not to enter as all the points were posted right at the start of this thread...

As the competition progresses players should be more evenly matched and therefore it should be harder to pick a winner. Going forward feel free to suggest what you think the points should be.

Or he could do one of 2 things.

1. Run the next comp using his rules.
2. Fuck off.
Thinking of one.

Here is the table after yesterday's games.
Wubbalubbadubdub and Nobilo are the highest scorers over the 2 days of round 3 with points of 65.

The top 3 have a good gap to those below them but there are still plenty of points to play for so all could change.

Have a Merry Xmas everyone.

Merry Xmas everyone.

I will put the 4th round thread up after the completion of round 3 on Thursday 27th and the fixtures between G Anderson v C Dobey and MVG v A Lewis will be excluded from round 4 predictions.

Here is the updated Table after the completion of Round 3.

Bonuses were as follows:
Cross - Highest Average
Alcinas - Lowest Average
MVG - Highest Checkout

I am travelling all day tomorrow from Yorkshire to Northern Ireland so not sure how quickly I will be able to update the scores but should be able to add the Quarter Final Thread fairly promptly after the games finish tomorrow night.

No thread up last night. Been sorting stuff and travelling today. I won't predict a match that has started. Here are the rest.

Van de Pas 2-4 Brendan Dolan
Ryan Joyce 2-4 James Wade
Ryan Searle 0-4 M Smith
Jamie Lewis 4-3 Dave Chisnall
Rob Cross 4-2 Humphries

Highest 3 dart average of Round 4 - Cross
Lowest 3 dart average of Round 4 - Joyce
Highest checkout of Round 4 - J Lewis
