I think Cross has it bang on, got to be the main reason so many top ranked players have gone out early. So many tournaments over the year all over the world, fatigue must play a part and this event just goes on too long but that’s another story!

Said yesterday he looks like he’s on another planet at times and being on the stage can’t be helping him.

Needs to step away for a bit, sort himself out, make sure he’s on the right medication (and not mixing it with a ton of alcohol) and come back when he’s feeling himself again

Aspinall at 33s and Humphries at 22 are good odds if you can get a good cash out in the final.

Just a quick word about Searle yesterday, I know he lost but I thought he put up a fantastic effort.

Didn't blame fatigue, just how he felt. Maybe lethargic would have been a better word.

I think calling Humphries' performance fighting does him a disservice. It suggests he battled his way to the win. Humphries played better than Cross.

Age of the quarter finalists

Luke Humphries - 23
Nathan Aspinall - 27
Michael Smith - 28
Michael van Gerwen - 29
Ryan Joyce - 33
Dave Chisnall - 38
Brendan Dolan - 45
Gary Anderson - 48

Average age 34

That has to be the youngest ever quarter final line up

Where’s this putting the players in the WC rankings now coming from outside the top 32. Aspinall, Dolan, humphries etc

Reckon Chisnall will win the next one. Anderson not fully at the races this tourney - a combination of his back injury/poor attitude.

Young blood, new faces and all that, but its certainly not Clash of the Titans. But you just know the players outside the top 16 will be looking at this tournament and thinking of next year, anything is possible if you work at it.

Dolan stops outside the top 42 think Aspinall is now at 34 a win will put him at 17th

A win for humphries will put him just above Dolan

Ando clearly claiming his back was fucked so he could get a better price on himself to win this game. One for the DRA to look into...
