Be interesting to see the German viewing figures, nothing spectacular from them unlike Münch last year, but Hopp finally did something earlier in the year and played van Gerwen

Think there will still be a good 3-4million watching in Europe tonight. Uncle Barry was hinting about the growth of (non) linear platforms and the way that has enhanced darts.

Giving BBC America streaming rights in the US and them putting on their YouTube channel must massively increase viewers. Although notionally geoblocked to US the restrictions can be easily circumvented with the most basic VPNs unlike the BBC, Netflix and AmazonDannyboy wrote:Think there will still be a good 3-4million watching in Europe tonight. What are semi-final figures normally like on Dutch TV? And how do they compare with finals?PreciesJJ wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 11:47 amSemi Finals figures were 971.000, the final will definitely be 1M+ChrisW wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 11:39 pmCan you show us the viewing figures?Vriezzer wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 9:05 pmMeanwhile, the sounds in the Netherlands were a bit different. Tried to find the article I read about the broadcasting-figures. It contained comments from Van der Giessen (you'll probably know him) as well. So far I failed, even with some help of Google. I remember the article stated most evening sessions the amount of viewers exceeded just 300.000, after Barneys exit. But I can't remember the comparing figures of last year.ChrisW wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 11:39 pmCan you show us the viewing figures?Vriezzer wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 9:05 pmMeanwhile, the sounds in the Netherlands were a bit different. Luckily now with MvG's success the figures have become a lot better. I think it should exceed 1,3-1,5m tonight.
To survive, is to be victorious!

Semi final night had the word Aspinall Smith Van Gerwen Anderson and pdc trending during parts of the night on Twitter.
Unreal amount of interest, Smith has the same number of tweets as football related tweets at one point

Various things on tonight:
- 35 or more 180s @ 5/1 (WH)
- Both to have 15 or more 180s @ 13/8 (Betfair)
- Both to average 100 or more and have at least 12 180s each @ 6/4 (Hills)
Also done a complicated ton plus checkouts arb between Hills and Spreadex but too complicated to explain here.

Smith looks shedded though MVG looks intensely focused.
This could be over in minutes(even 7-6). Probably be more advert time than game
