Firstly it has to be said that Leighton Bennett was absolutely brilliant,.

Could be a special player once he develops a bit more confidence.
He won the Cambridgeshire open back in August.
I know, and beat some really good players doing so.

My comment re his confidence was in jest, and for a lad of his age going on to that stage, he was absolutely brilliant.

"Thought I had just tuned in a PDC event, the commentators have mentioned nothing about any initiatives being done for Youth darts within BDO, just bagging on about PDC development and challenge tour, after all these kids have got their spot on TV through the BDO not PDC. Utterly disgusted can’t be bothered to do any sort of investigation into what is going on, seems like all our work in England last year setting up The England Grand Prix isn’t worthy of any promotion or mention. Funding kids to go around the world to Europe and World Cups, British Internationals, yet nothing. Just see PDC mentioning BDO events on their shows. Total disgrace."

And I agree.
I like Tommy and darts owes him a debt because of his efforts but FFS this fella can moan, here's an idea, if you want them to discuss the Edo initiatives then why not prepare a dossier for them to look at so when they started talking they could reference it. The BDO should have also given them all the info they needed on the players and how they got there including the youth.

That's what I was thinking ..how on earth are commentators going to know about the EDO Youth Grand Prix or EDO youth initiatives or anything to do with EDO funding ...
If the information is given to them in a clear form then I'm sure they would mention it and give it good publicity...it's not for commentators to dig out that info really ..it's up to the EDO and BDO between them to provide any info that they would like commentators to mention....that's the sort of stuff I'm sure they'd love to.mention.

Re the tt whinge, this is the problem when you have 3/4 Organizations doing things, edo, sda, nbd, etc, if one did the lot then lack of words between orgs could be avoided, as for the moans re the commentary, I fully expect a big enrolling from esteemed posters & mr j Lowe on a commentary course ( broadcast journalism) Northumbria university offers course as do others around the uk There’s more supporters for the way things have gone than knockers, perhaps it’s a case of hating the product & everything therefore associated with it,

TT's moan that they should be research as professionals...has he ever tried to look for info on non-PDC stuff online? It's near impossible!

As predicted. This afternoon was bogging.

Let's hope tonight is an improvement. The last game should at least entertain - hope the Baker chavs don't pitch up again.

if 15 averages over 90 is "much"

then the 17 averages in the 70s must be "much more"

No. Think Cameron has played well, but would be surprised should he get into the next round.

For those complaining about the womens game, Here is something that could make things more interesting. When more PDC players have the courage to leave the artifical side of the game and come over to the official side of the game, Allow those PDC players to play the women in a mixed event and leave the Men's draw as it is, Those PDC players are obviously not good enough to compete with the BDO Men and so let them compete against the women. They might win a game or two then.

Yes 17 is a bigger number than 15.
Anyway was just a bit surprised. I hadn't realised there was that many so far.
Expected it to be more like 5 or 7 ish.

phil davies wrote: Thu Jan 10, 2019 7:44 pm Trina will most likely come back to win this 2-1 now. Winstanley seems to choke at Lakeside like a lot of the Women. Hence why their has only ever been 4 diffrent winners.

Any luck
A lot of pressure at the home of darts, Though she managed to get through.
