He's far too mentally weak. He's making every game he plays a slog and you just know he'll be getting all emotional about it.

BDO for life.

Certainly Durrant and Waites are going to be looking at winning through to have any hope now, you feel it would need that or 2 extremely deep runs on the last to days to make the OOM card places.

BOTH BDO Lakeside finalist out early both days.

You can make an excuse for one player going out early but both players twice.
This is hilarious, let the excuses continue

Why will McGeeney not play? Does he have an exhibition either?

Really do hope he picks it up tomorrow, we know he is a very good player but cannot seem to hack this format and losing (no disrespect intended) to Herewini and Tipple is just not what was expected. On the other hand McGeeney and Baker seem to be making a decent fist of this

A mixture of the former, possibly nerves and a different environment.

Look at McGeeney - several here couldn't see him get a card but he's well on course through the OoM but he had over a week after Lakeside to rest and get ready.

Only needs two days to get a card.

Surely its now time for Q School to be seeded, so Durrant can avoid the other big hitters like Tickle and Herewini in the early stages.
The way he's playing, if he wants to make the PDC, he'll need to get back on the floor and play the Challenge Tour events, so he gets used to the grind.

He was playing Vince Tipple not a highly experience PDC player
That's not the point. He doesn't play the full BDO tour, and gets a bunch of points from playing on stage in a few of the bigger BDO events. This is a floor tournament grind and he needs to do well in this environment to get onto the tour and survive.

In other news, Diogo Portela out 5-0 to Cammy Menzies with a 77 average - must have been unlucky...

Will b interesting to see what the likes of Waites, Mcgeeney, Durrant and Williams do if they don't qualify. BDO only, challenge tour only or both. Jamie Hughes has shown that the challenger tour can toughen you up ready for the following year. I personally think Durrant would just do another year BDO only then try again next year for Q-School.

People being far too harsh on Durrant, for all we know Herewini and Tipple could be the next big things in darts.
