Premier League Prediction Competition

Post by fling »

Before setting up any prediction threads is there any further movement as to a sponsor of prizes.

The 1st round of fixtures in Newcastle is only a fortnight away.

I am awaiting an update about a potential sponsor.

A cash prize is a good idea but it would depend how much people want to put in and if they want a weekly cash prize or just prizes at the end.

Surely you could do both, but depends how many people pay up.

eg if you had 44 people stump up a tenner you could do a £20 prize every week and then give out the £100 for the overall winners.

44 people probably a bit of an ask, mind.

That is a good suggestion.

Surely we need to get DBG's opinion on the split of prizes before we start.

Maybe we can start a poll and ask for suggestions.

If you want to do it with just one prize for the overall winner, I can let you have another set of Bob Anderson darts. Would that help?

I won’t be offended if you say NO.!

I will play but no cash, even if no prizes on offer, I just enjoy the anjoyment of realising how awful I am at predictions.
Thinking of one.

I probably missed it, but who's in the line-up for the Premier League?

I'd be in for cash/entertainment.

Offering darts will of course bring the usual suspects out of the woodwork. Don't expect them to part with any lucre.

Like the last comp it can be done on both a paid/non-paid basis. Overall winner of any non-cash prizes can come from either list.

Loads of options.

We can have a cash based one, coupled with a weekly competition and a full PL season one.

We are currently communicating with a potential sponsor, and we also have Sally kindly putting up a set of Bob's darts as a prize, so will be a great Prediction Competition.

A donation of 1 set of darts would be appreciated. Thanks
