Bdo winnings
Bdo winnings
I’m trying to find out how much the top 16 in the BDO system would earn in a calendar year.
Any well informed people got any pointers on how I would find this out?

Prize money from the first event of 2018 after Lakeside all the way through to Lakeside 2019, which is almost a calendar year.
This wont include money won in exbos and knockabout doubles/trebles events, though.

Dont forget to factor in flights, accommodation, beer tokens etc to deduct from "winnings" to see how much it actually costs.
Thinking of one.

Ah yes, but don't forget one can always keep the costs down by refusing to play any event more than a two hour tractor ride from the milking shed, or something. The Crusader wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:11 am Dont forget to factor in flights, accommodation, beer tokens etc to deduct from "winnings" to see how much it actually costs.
Re: Bdo winnings
Remember not to count travel insurance in the costs and add the GoFundMe begging fund to the winnings for a more accurate figure. The Crusader wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:11 am Dont forget to factor in flights, accommodation, beer tokens etc to deduct from "winnings" to see how much it actually costs.

A set of flights only costs a quid or so.The Crusader wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:11 am Dont forget to factor in flights, accommodation, beer tokens etc to deduct from "winnings" to see how much it actually costs.

Man that’s a grind. Wes newton won just over 4 grand in a year?
You either win Lakeside or eat beans for a year?
Re: Bdo winnings
Yes, outside of the finalist cheques for the Masters the tour is essentially "Lakeside or bust" which accounts for why so many players cack themselves once they get there.rubyred90 wrote:Cheers.Ginge wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 10:44 am Here you go:

Maybe they are the famed Torremolinos return flights the BDO keep on about.BOOM wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 6:15 pmA set of flights only costs a quid or so.The Crusader wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 11:11 am Dont forget to factor in flights, accommodation, beer tokens etc to deduct from "winnings" to see how much it actually costs.

Re: Bdo winnings
Des and Paula are insistent you can get there for £20 return.
Therefore, if anyone can find a return to Malaga (including all relevant taxes and a checked bag as you cant take darts in the cabin) from any UK airport for less than £20 (in cash, no tricks like using Avios points etc....), to get them to Torromolinos [sic] in time for the event no more than 2 days before, and leaving no more than 2 days afterwards, I will donate £20 to charity.
There is a challenge for you, folks

Re: Bdo winnings
Did they specify that it was flights?
Re: Bdo winnings
"FLIGHTS NOW MOST UNDER £40 RETURN
SOME AIRPORTS UNDER £20 Return"
Formatting hasn't been changed.
Maybe they are saying you could buy an airport for £20, tbf. Or maybe they are just on about flights for darts.
