Fined for having an off day......they really do control every aspect of their players lives. I would of thought the PDPA would of fought his corner on this one, what is the point of them?

This seems more proportional then Gerwyn Price's fine.

Re: DRA Cases now online again
If the fine doesn't take Wade's mental issues into account, this decision is ludicrous.
No wonder Price is appealing his fine and taking it to court if necessary.

What issues should or shouldn't be taken into account?
Re: DRA Cases now online again
He's arguing that they're fining him for a hypomanic episode that he couldn't control.
Apparently the DRA said they asked for a psychiatric report and didn't receive one, so either they ignored his mental illness or they couldn't fully accept that as the cause.

Re: DRA Cases now online again
As long as James dosen't drink with his medication, then he could have had an episode. If he does drink with his medication, then he's not taking his mental health seriously so why should the DRA.
Re: DRA Cases now online again
does he think that he should not be sanctioned for uncontrollable outbursts, in which case everyone will sign up with a private psycho and get a free pass - if he thinks outbursts like that are not beyond sanction then he might look at price and think he got off lightly, move on
I would not be shouting that I might have uncontrollable outbursts that will be uncontrollable at best but also go against the PDCs values which you contractually surely sign up to? could end up being suspended from play until you can prove you are over that risk, worse than a fit note

Re: DRA Cases now online again
Yes, he does. He was asking to be treated as insane. The legal system doesn't hold the insane liable for their actions. Instead it focuses on prevention. If the DRA treated him as insane, then instead of fining him they'd put conditions on his participation.Bomber wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 4:56 pm does he think that he should not be sanctioned for uncontrollable outbursts, in which case everyone will sign up with a private psycho and get a free pass - if he thinks outbursts like that are not beyond sanction then he might look at price and think he got off lightly, move on

Re: DRA Cases now online again
The reports were that they wanted a psychiatric report and they didn't receive one, so they didn't or didn't fully take his mental illness into account, but were considering it.
And they haven't said anything about conditions on participation, but if they fined him, they clearly don't want it to happen again. In the case of insanity, to minimize the risk, they'd need him to be compliant and well-monitored.
