The stats suggest it is Michael Barnard. Lowest running average and no wins.

Am I allowed to say Mensur loses early again given that’s now 2 perhaps even 3 early loses in recent weeks??

Surprised he even bothered entering these TBH he has no need to and usually doesn't during the PL.

Anyway Cadby is back and looking like going through to a second round clash with big Vinny
Cadby through. 6-5 against Richardson. 11 darter on throw by Corey in deciding leg.

Durrant again takes advantage of an opponent missing 3 darts at a double. 6-4 over Ratajski. Would have had darts in last leg.

Barnard currently 3-3 against Zonnefeld, won the bull, but average dropping, down to 77.

Van Barneveld after shameful defeat against layabout: "I quit"

Dart player Raymond van Barneveld announced his retirement for the eighteenth time on Saturday. The sportsman from The Hague did that after he had suffered a shameful defeat in the first round of Players Championship 9 against layabout Gary Eastwood. He threw an average of 78. The darter lost 6-4. "If this is my future, I can better go and play petanque", says Van Barneveld. He then gave his new 35-year-old British girlfriend a minute-long French kiss. "Back to my grandson now."

Presumably because there isn’t another Portuguese player to make a team?

Last 128
Simon Whitlock v Kirk Shepherd
Carl Wilkinson v Conan Whitehead
Danny Noppert v Maik Kuivenhoven
Chris Dobey v Stephen Burton
Terrible choice of second board
Have to agree. 1st board not bad though, especially Snakebite vs Hughes.
Cross/Cadby should have been a certainty for a streamed board
Cross v Cadby... how did that match end then???

Plenty play in the Iberean qualifier. Even had diffrent one go to Euro q school this year. Hell even in womens qualifier the runner up was from Portugal.
I've seen Portuguese players that would certainly hold their own at the World Cup with de Sousa... They should be in

Welcome to the big leagues.

Sorry 110.5 v 102.7.

Got beaten, either way.

11.

Played great, was averaging 119 at 5-1. Slipped a bit next legs, Durrant came back to 5-3 and against the throw had 76 for 12, Hopp stuck in 180 to leave himself 68, Durrant couldn't treble first dart and missed his d18, and Hopp took out the 68 in 3 for 15, to win 6-3 with a 110.5 average.

Another board final loss for Durrant, looking like a 17-32 player at the moment.
Hopp through to the last 16.
