BDO International Open and Youth Festival has been cancelled and in 2020 will be in the Magna Centre Rotherham.

THE BDO recently took the difficult decision to cancel the 2019 Youth Festival of Darts due to issues confirming a suitable venue.

The continual development and promotion of the youth is a priority and one area of the BDO I am looking to further improve. As such, due to the obvious disappointment for players, youth organisations, myself and the BDO as a whole, I reopened negotiations with a potential venue to see if we could reinstate the event.

I am pleased to be able to confirm that The Five Lakes Hotel in Essex have today agreed to hosting the event on the 20th and 21st of July this year. The hotel has a dedicated arena, 194 rooms for those wishing to stay and outstanding facilities. It is a commutable distance from both London Stansted and London Southend airport for international competitors and has excellent links to major UK cities for UK-based players.

Further details about the revived BDO Youth Festival of Darts will follow over the next few weeks.
