Great venue. Watched Kim Wilde, skids, rezillos and department s last couple of years.

pity if it has closed.

Only ever saw The Rezillos on Top of the Pops....

Went to the Guild Hall to see The Saw Doctors once.. That was excellent.. Roastingly hot and sweaty.. I remember it being a good venue and probably ideal for darts if they could get a few in.. Seems unlikely now though...

It's hard to plug an event that doesn't have dates or location.

Would be intersected to know what Eurosport currently know.

Wonder if there is truth in the rumour that they’ve dropped the BDO after one event.

If the BDO are unable to provide the 2nd event then surely that would be a breach of contract straight away, not that that will happen though, even if its a grand to the winner and played at the Blues Club the event will go ahead.

They should have played the WDT at the Welsh Open or tag it onto Selsey, venue already sorted plus guaranteed crowd and atmosphere = good for TV.

A good idea but neither will happen, the qualifier should be tagged onto an existing event at the very least but I have no doubt this will happen anyway.

Gold Cup weekend? BDO Youth Festival weekend? England Open weekend? Scottish Classic?

OK, only two actually run by the BDO and one is for the kids, but could be tagged on as a last resort. Time is running out though to sort one for Gold Cup weekend, that will be done and dusted 4 weeks today.

I’ve not seen that anywhere.

Seen the usual rumour that it’s not a 3 year contract it’s a event by event contract that Eurosport can renew up to the 3 years (like what it was rumours the c4 contract wash but not seen anything that it’s been dropped
