Did you ask the important questions about the WDT, or were you fearing a fist to the face!
Re: 6th BDO World Darts Trophy 30 Aug - 1 Sep
Why are you even asking him this? Its Minion Mark with yet another persona, he thinks an animated avatar can fool us this time.

Fair play, im not quite a frequent enough poster to pick up on people sad enough to create multiples! I have taken an interest in the roller coaster ride that is the WDT. Im quietly biding my time waiting for mid to high 60 averages being enough to succeed in the BDO. I've got a few more years in my football career before i turn my hand to a darts career.Ginge wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 11:51 amWhy are you even asking him this? 10 weeks Friday.
Not one ticket sold.
Will Des spunk another £100k of BDO money to keep it and save face ala Williams, on or take the brave decision to cancel.....
Or wait another few weeks to see if he can bag a huge sponsor from no where to pay for it.... (and will that sponsor be interested in a TV event with 30 people in the audience....)

The Charter Theatre and Great Hall at Preston's Guild Hall are set to reopen.
This comes after The Guild Foundation, funded by Simon Rigby, has appointed GF Preston Ltd to run the venues until a "world class operator" can be secured.
Mr Rigby says he has no interest in running the venues himself, but claims he is 'determined' not to leave Preston without the Guild Hall operating.
He said: “Even though I lost £6,000,000 on the Guild Hall I am determined not to leave Preston without the booming Guild Hall it deserves.
“I have no interest in operating the Charter Theatre or Great Hall myself but the talented management that have worked so hard for many years deserve an opportunity to shape the future.
“In due course any registered charity, local good cause or ticket holders who paid cash for shows that are cancelled should be in for good news once we have completed some legal formalities."
The Guild Hall foundation was formed to support arts and leisure in the city.
Lisa Matthew, a trustee of The Guild Foundation and operations director of GF Preston, is working to secure a operator for the venue.
She said: “We are determined to see the Guild Hall to the next level by putting together a core of staff who understand the importance of the Guild Hall to Preston who will work alongside a world class operator. Thus delivering the best of both worlds for Preston.”

Administrators in control of Preston Guild Hall are in dispute with businessman Simon Rigby over who can reopen the venue and when.
Mr Rigby announced this morning that the Charter Theatre and the Great Hall were back in business as of today.
But the Administrator of Preston Guild Hall, Beverley Budsworth of The Business Debt Advisor, has said it is the Administrator who is in control of when the Preston Guild Hall reopens.
In an interview with the Post today Mr Rigby said the Charter Theatre and Great Hall were open as of “Now”.
He added: “We are taking bookings we are getting back to people who had events with us.”
The businessman claimed The Guild Foundation, a registered charity formed to develop the arts and leisure in and around Preston, was to pick up the baton to secure a specialist operator.
But on the back of the announcement Ms Budsworth told the Post that she is “concerned that an unauthorised press release has been issued”.
She said: “Our efforts to bring in a reputable and substantial operator are ongoing and we hope to be able to make an announcement in a day or two about the continuance to Preston Guild Hall.
“No other press release in relation to Preston Guild Hall has been authorised by the Administrator.”
Mr Rigby says the press release was issued by GF Preston Ltd, which had been appointed by the Guild Foundation to run the Charter Theatre and Great Hall until a suitable operator can be found.
He said: "This was a GF Preston Ltd Press release and therefore did not need the Administrators' permission.
"The Guild Foundation has a lease from April 2018 for the Charter Theatre and Great Hall for 15 years. That's why I have reopened it."
He added that The Guild Foundation "is simply appointing another operator GF Preston Ltd".
However, the Administrator, is disputing that lease. Ms Budsworth said: "The Administrators dispute his lease on the Charter Theatre and the Great Hall."
In response Mr Rigby said: "If the Administrator has found a good operator for the Great Hall and Charter Theatre nobody would be happier than me and I will not stand in the way of that but having the Guild Hall sit - I don't think it's helpful for anybody."

It would be ironic if Des has been led down the garden path by someone who keeps promising that everything will be fine... in a week or two....just crossing the t's...... just some last minute glitches......these things in business always take time....got it all sorted just need a box ticked.....
That would be very amusing...

An exciting live update page on the Lancashire Evening Post website now, locks being changed at the Guild Hall, businesses locked out, Rigby arguing the toss etc...all sounds a right mess.
