^^^^^^^^ 100% this.
Except for BT sport and Eurosport contracts.,- worldwide known event in lakeside which could be a big money maker with a proper title sponsor in place
BT Sport?

Nope.

As for Lakeside being known worldwide, I believe this year a grand total of 7 countries took live coverage, and the year before it was just UK and Ireland. Will certainly be slipping out of the worldwide consciousness in favour of Ally Pally. And the Eurosport contract would be utterly meaningless to the PDC, the PDC already have TV deals in the countries the Eurosport deal covers.

Eurosport replaced the joint C4 and BT Sports broadcasting. As neither of those wanted to continue for Lakeside 2019.

A staple of the BDO calendar will not be taking place this year as the tournament formerly known as the Finder Masters has been scrapped for 2019.

The event has been running in one guise or another since 1995 when it was known as the Dutch Grand Masters, but has also been dubbed the Doeland Grand Masters and Zuiderduin Masters, among other names.

A who’s-who of BDO heroes have won the competition, including Raymond van Barneveld, Martin Adams, Gary Anderson, Scott Waites and, most recently, Glen Durrant.

However, the event will not be played this year, and could be gone for good, after tournament organisers failed to find a main sponsor after Finder’s sponsorship deal came to an end.

While it is not a BDO issue that has seen the end of the tournament in the Netherlands, it is a blow for the organisation to see a popular event fall by the wayside. Now a PDC player, current BDO world champion Durrant tweeted: ‘Sad news #ProudChampion’

It is a tough time for the BDO with major tournaments still waiting for announcements on venues and main sponsors.

The World Trophy, World Masters and World Championships are all yet to have venues confirmed with the World Trophy now less than two months away.

The sad news about the Finder Masters will only further the confusion and doubt that players and fans have been suffering since the Lakeside World Championships in January.

West Friesland International.
Will the cream of the BDO attend? Or will they just stay at home and play the PDC challenge tour?

West Friesland International.
It's the West Fries Open weekend - they've raised the Category for both singles events from B to A for both Men and Women. Looks like it will be the stage finals on the Sunday for both events
