That's a good point, I'd momentarily forgotten that.
Do we know if Sportotal sorted that venue out last time?
This is the thing...surely they didnt. They never mentioned it on their website and it was round the corner from Sue's house, so why are they suddenly having to sort it now?
Unless Sue sorting that out herself was one of the 27 "breaches".
Memo Arts Centre was named 44 days before the event (tickets went on sale 2 days later). I believe we are now at 50 days before the 2019 version?
I'd always assumed that venue was the result of Sue going rogue and bypassing Sportotal given how local it was to her, but seeing as no-one ever actually owned up to it, I wasn't sure.
If that is one of the 27 breaches, I'd love to have a look at that contract. Sportotal were contractually obliged to find the venue, they didn't bother so Sue sorted it herself at the last minute, and she's the one in breach.
Only she could have signed up to something like that.
Sue found out they could get the venue for free as it was part of a council project to get local events there, so I imagine she told sportotal and they got it done
But if this is true why can’t Des do the same. He already had a long list of potential venues and sponsors.
Why cant he get barry for free? because he closed the Taffs well Office
Why cant he get venues and sponsors? youd have to ask him that, he had tons lined up........

I presume for the last one at the free place they promised 100s of eager thirsty fans coming along for each session now the venue knows they are only likely to sell 2 cans a pop a day they are probably slightly less than eager to return a phonecall as they would actually save money by being closed then rather than hosting a Des Vanity project this time.
He has got venues and sponsors the only problem is they are either Turkish , Spanish or need to be a beagle to appreciate them

49 days to go and still no venue.
The Preston guild hall closing really fekked them but there should have been a plan b months ago.
Might as well just announce it’s cancelled on Monday and save 100k+
He should, but he doesn't have to simply because there are plenty of BDO folk who seem bewilderingly happy to buy into his "everything good is the work of Des, everything bad is the fault of someone else" narrative.
As long as no-one of any importance is prepared to challenge that, he's got no reason to do anything other than the bare minimum.
Just to say if Ginge wins the 'guess the date' today he has only won by default. ie he knows Friday is a good day for info release and he was going for last Friday until I 'bagged' the date.
so if it is today we will call it a shared win because I can feel in my waters news is coming.

And that view seems to be the default setting on fanatics.start criticising des and see what happens.
