They've probably asked them to host for free or has the refs sponsorship money gone?

That's probably the transition Richard Ashdown wrote about: BDO being more realistic so finding places to cut expenses.

Shame to lose Dundas. He also does stream commentary.

TT mentioned 'secret meetings' by some folk that could lead to a further split. (If I find it I will post it).
Can't be anything to do with that? Either cost cutting or des got his own team.

Whilst I don't know everything, it seems to me that some bad decisions have been made which are restricting the move forward for the BDO, from what I am led to believe these contracts are now putting in jeopardy the future of the company, if this is the case then, I would dissolve the company and start again BDO2019, with clear and defined aspirations for the different parts of the company, to work autonomously within the overall framework of the BDO brand.

There is a lot of surrogate clandestine meetings of different groups going on behind the scenes, which if we are not careful will lead to a repeat of the early 90’s and another possible fragmentation of the sport of darts, a fragmentation the BDO/WDF side of darts can ill afford.
The main agendas of these people/groups is to payback certain other people or groups for past differences, I might be wrong but I definitely fear the worst, and more importantly the impact it will undoubtedly have on the future of England Darts. No doubt the next week or so will be if not revealing, it will be interesting."
