Okay, so they've not got any referees heading into one of their televised "majors", but they've sorted a hotel (with breakfast) a mere 10 miles away from the venue, and someone's agreed to give them a few dartboards.

Onwards and upwards!!

Can the thread title be updated to reflect the news that almost everyone is now bailing the sinking ship?

devosteve wrote:Whilst I don't know everything, it seems to me that some bad decisions have been made which are restricting the move forward for the BDO, from what I am led to believe these contracts are now putting in jeopardy the future of the company, if this is the case then, I would dissolve the company and start again BDO2019, with clear and defined aspirations for the different parts of the company, to work autonomously within the overall framework of the BDO brand.

There is a lot of surrogate clandestine meetings of different groups going on behind the scenes, which if we are not careful will lead to a repeat of the early 90’s and another possible fragmentation of the sport of darts, a fragmentation the BDO/WDF side of darts can ill afford.
The main agendas of these people/groups is to payback certain other people or groups for past differences, I might be wrong but I definitely fear the worst, and more importantly the impact it will undoubtedly have on the future of England Darts. No doubt the next week or so will be if not revealing, it will be interesting."

Isn’t that a bit of a stupid idea, would mean that the bdo would have to renegotiate every deal they have and wouldn’t be able to get near any deal that sportotal negotiated without going back into business with them.

If things are really that bad and we are close to the end of the bdo if I was des I’d be trying to organise a meeting the PDC asap

'Resignations' from complete nobodies. You can get anyone with a basic understanding of scoring to shout some numbers out.

Another nothing story.

Des knows this too well, county callers will be falling over themselves to contact him this week offering their services for absolutely free. I didnt think they got paid anyway (Ashdown aside) and just got expenses.
