If you are going to compare with matchplay only the men should count re nationalities.

But it's a bad comparison for the bdo. I wonder if this will sellout the 6 sessions compared to the 10 (?) Sessions of the matchplay (were prices are at least £25 a session).

How about number of female referees. :)
This should be on the top trumps categories.

Schedule is out.

No ladies games until Saturday (4 in afternoon, 4 in the evening).

What would you say is the prime time viewing slot on TV on a Saturday?

Yes let’s fill the Saturday with ladies games, that will get people turning off the football and rugby to watch

Exactly they have no other choice, other than having 12 games a session on Friday and only 4 a session on Saturday. Stupid.

He is right about the first round of the ladies game being a channel changer, though.

Eurosport know that not many people will watch the ladies so have shifted it on when football, cricket & rugby will be on

Thats probably not the reason at all, its just its the most logical time to actually play them regardless of whats going on, to ensure an even spacing of games. You dont get the women playing on the same day as the Last 32 men in the Masters for exactly the same reason.

Personally I’d swap it and have as much of the ladies on the Friday afternoon.

It’s just poor planning. the ladies is secondary, playing ladies after every other men’s games is just going to take the pace off the Saturday.
