I preferred it when Ian was around to be the forum contrarian. Come back, mate.

Based on PDC qualifying criteria, automatic qualifiers are known. Plus 8 for a competition long announced, just yet to be played.
The org that hasn't told us who will be there is the BDO.
Your move.

Premier League - top 4 plus invitationsfling wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 3:18 pm
Not sure I can see any qualifiers through exhibitions.
Masters - top 16
World Series of Darts - invitational
Champions League of Darts - top 8
None of those are ranking tournaments open to all card holders.
Re: PDC Grand Slam of Darts- 9th-17th November 2019- Wolverhampton
Yes they are. Doesnt the World Series of Darts final event have an open qualifier for a few spaces?
Also a Tour Card holder can get into the top 8 or 16 and qualify for the CLD/Masters/

It was more the point that they arent exhibitions closed off from tour card holders.Addicks Fan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:28 pmWhat are you going on about? They are not ranking tournaments!

The WSoD finals have qualifers. I had that wrong.Ginge wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:54 pmIt was more the point that they arent exhibitions closed off from tour card holders.Addicks Fan wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:28 pmWhat are you going on about? They are not ranking tournaments!
But it's still not a ranking tournament. The finals have the top 8 players from the WSoD rankings, which is likely to be the 8 regulars, and even if one of the regulars plays total shite, they'll almost certainly get an invite to the finals as one of the next 4 players by PDC OOM ranking.
So they can half-arse their way around the world, go to the final anyway, put effort in and reach the final, get whitewashed and congratulations, Grand Slam! And if they're still shit in the final of the WSoD, oh well, it doesn't affect their rankings.
The Grand Slam is _supposedly_ about players who've won or reached a final of a big tournament in the past 12 months, but the top-ranked players from a 2-year ranking system get several more opportunities to get there because they get invited to play in smaller events. 3 good games in an unranked tournament is all it takes to qualify.
