Yes, and then tailed off to a trickle rather quickly. So effectively, the small hardcore who were desperately waiting for tickets got in early (not even the best seats)

A great place to experience at least once. Loved Freemont Street at night, loved the Grand Canyon/Route 66/Hoover Damm. Shot some automatic guns (AK47 etc), went up the STart tower for a drink, watched Big Elvis (!) went to Hells Kitchen. Gambled and lost (with lots of 'free' drinks while gambling). Ate and drank lots relatively cheaply so all good And they do still do cans of Miller Lite for $2.50 in lots of shops or 2 cans for $8 for Bud Lite Orange/LIme etc (!). The cans are 24oz so massive.

Shot some automatic guns (AK47 etc), went up the STart tower for a drink, watched Big Elvis (!) went to Hells Kitchen. Gambled and lost (with lots of 'free' drinks while gambling). Ate and drank lots relatively cheaply so all good And they do still do cans of Miller Lite for $2.50 in lots of shops or 2 cans for $8 for Bud Lite Orange/LIme etc (!). The cans are 24oz so massive.

So the myth about free drinks is true

well you have to tip a $ so technically not free, and of course you are gambling and most probably losing. But apart from that it is very easy to get these drinks while gambling - even on penny slots , the waitresses don't care, me and my mate would sit at a machine for 5 mins hardly putting anything in to a slot, get the waitress attention, get a drink and bugger off. At one point I was playing and doing well with the other three watching on and the waitress is more than happy to get us all a drink, 5$ tip and she is back 10 minutes later for another round!

Think it’s only planet Hollywood that does the 2 for 8 dollars, I know flamingo doesn’t.

They are in the shops outside the hotels as well (mainly in the gap between PH and MGM where there are a quite a few shops/bars/fast food places.). In fact , I find that side of the strip much better for walking along/drinking/people watching etc, the other side is just hotel to hotel.
