105, I think

With no prize money for any of the losers, I think a lot of the players were realistic that it wasn't worth spending the money to go.

Nico Kurz will make his William Hill World Championship debut in December after winning the German Superleague World Championship Qualifier on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who claimed the biggest win of his career against Gary Anderson in the German Darts Masters in July, defeated Martin Schindler 10-6 in the final.

The top eight players on the 2019 German Super League table who hadn't already qualified for the World Championship descended on Hildesheim for the qualifying event.

Kurz, who made his TV debut at the 2018 German Darts Masters, came through a last-leg shoot-out with Manfred Bilderl in the quarter-finals before getting the better of Maik Langendorf to reach the final.

There, he averaged 94.2 against pre-event favourite Martin Schindler to claim a crucial victory in his fledgling career.

All results and match stats are available in DartConnect.

German Superleague World Championship Qualifier
Quarter-Finals
Nico Kurz 8-7 Manfred Bilderl
Maik Langendorf 8-6 Robert Marijanovic
Martin Schindler 8-7 Thomas Kohnlein
Christian Bunse 8-4 Dragutin Horvat

Semi-Finals
Nico Kurz 9-6 Maik Langendorf
Martin Schindler 9-5 Christian Bunse

Final
Nico Kurz 10-6 Martin Schindler

That is very true.. There are not that many women at true elite level anyway so what's the point in them travelling with zero chance of qualifying... The ones with realistic chances of qualifying were there which is all that matters really..

Nico Kurz or Maik Langendorf v Martin Schindler or Christian Bunse for a place at Ally Pally.

Paulo Ferreira, Kai Gotthardt, Daniel Klose, Jens Kniest, Alexander Koehler and Nico Krause qualify for the 2020 edition.
Only three qualified for the 2020 Superleague, Gotthardt, Klose and Kniest

In other news, Cadby is back for the PDPA qualifier, wonder how he'll be after so long away (and of course all the other shit going on in his life)

Delighted for the young lad, done some good things this year. A real promising talent, hope to see him on the tour soon. As for Schindler, it looks like competing in the HNQs up until last year flattered him, looks like the PDPA or bust for him, and sometimes strange things happen at that event

He isn't eligible to play in the PDPA qualifier - he's already played in the German qualifier.

I believe he'd have been able to do both even last year as the German Superleague isn't a one-off event, but this year they've changed the rules so that players can play in a regional qualifying event/tour and/or the PDPA qualifier

Everyone’s favourite mouthpiece excuse for a potential low turnout for the ladies qualifier is because it’s on a Monday with no payout for anyone that doesn’t qualify

Completely ignoring the fact the bdo worlds qualifier was a Monday.....and none of the ladies that failed to qualify got a payout

Really looking forward to this.

Unfortunately will miss the first night as will be travelling back from St. Lucia, following a weeks holiday at the Sandals resort.

Freebie, as have won this as a prize from my business for sales performance over the last year.

Not bad from the creepy Sofa Salesman. ;-)

Duzzas route is going to be gurney in round 3, Dobey or Mensur in round 4 and a potential quarter against price

Mvg has one of the easiest quarters going seedwise

43 entries in the women’s U.K. qualifier. Shocking.

Again, the ladies don’t support an event when they’re handed two generous places.

No Jacklin but Laura Turner does indeed travel direct from Italy.

The only top eligible female player missing is O'Brien.

(Anyone know why she isn't there?)

One generous place for this qualifier, which has the best UK players in it.
On a Monday.

As long as the top players turn up, that's all that matters.

Indeed 1205. I don’t know what Dannyboy is expecting, 200 players to enter?? :)

The two women's qualifiers have had the lowest entry numbers of any qualifier.

People criticise Devon Petersen for his African qualifier win, but he had over 20 more than this event.
