NDB will be getting an invoice for about £1100 in January.
They are usually the kind of organisation that will put out a quick reaction to something like this.
So would expect them to let people know soon if they are carrying BDO ranking points or not.
I would laugh if they removed them

I think they will. No mention of them on the Dutch Open website.

Dutch open will be about £10k as a rough guess with 5% paid and £2 from every entry.

I have said for years countries should pay to have BDO points, It makes business sense to me, But they have never done this.

Making the £2 levy is the BDO's way of trying to compete with the WDF IMO as I feel there worried about the rumours of the WDF moving in there own direction with events and the Lakeside being touted as the venue and certain people that have left the BDO helping them out.

I can see a boycott on this from countries and it will be the players that have booked up chasing BDO points that will loose out.

The season and rules start from October and so should anything like this.

Events have also already applied for the points and been granted them. Now the BDO are changing the contract.

Had the same thought. They are often the most vocal and can make a stand without affecting the event. Lots of attendees not chasing points. Might upset a couple of players but it won't be many. Most of the top ranked Dutch players already seem at odds with the BDO.

Other places to watch will be North America. Las Vegas event in January as well. The CDC finding their feet in North America and seem to piggy back on a couple of BDO events for the CDC version of q-school. They've already announced their calender and not sure how much the PDC now have a say but could they reach out to a few events to join them?

Interesting that this decision was made by the BDO board of directors. First one isn't it

I wonder why!
Normally it's just Des that announced that he has done it all.

Hahaha this is brilliant, it’s like Des has been watching the apprentice and thought he had more business acumen than lord sugar.

So Des when he took over there was 450k+ in the BDO accounts, after a year of pissing it up against a wall with one bad decision after another, and not having the fund to pay out the worlds prize money, he now expects other organisations to bail him out by forcing them to pay fee’s for BDO points.

Glorious

Can’t wait to hear Tommy T-Rex and the lapdog’s response to this.

Is this the BDO's attempt to finance the loan they need to pay for the World Champs? Desperate throw of the dice this. Plenty of events in UK and Europe have dropped their WDF ranking points because they don't want to pay their two dollar player levy. Can't see them picking up the tab for this.

Someone needs to tell the bdo board that 'only fools and horses ' isn't a documentary.

So the EDO will fork out for the benefit of the vast minority of players who enter.

Absolute morons.

And if any players moan about events dropping points, go tell them to speak to Des.
