At least he thinks its a disgrace but if thats the case drop the points and fek what Scott Mitchell and Dave Parletti (as two examples) think. Over 80% of the people at these events have no interest in the points.
Not as if there isnt an alternative for the better/braver players....

It's like one of those protection racket letters given to corner shops and pubs.. Very civil and nice but really meaning if you don't pay us we will burn your place down...

I think they are worried about the WDF and its possible changes but I don't think that's too far down the line at the moment is it.. It depends how important events think BDO points are and how much reduced the fields would be if they dropped them.

What will Paula do if all these small events around Europe drop the points? How will she maintain her no1 ranking......

Would also like to see how the BDO can issue late payment fees and instigate collections activity against the (as an example) Japanese. Utterly ridiculous.

I have said for years countries should pay to have BDO points, It makes business sense to me, But they have never done this.

Making the £2 levy is the BDO's way of trying to compete with the WDF IMO as I feel there worried about the rumours of the WDF moving in there own direction with events and the Lakeside being touted as the venue and certain people that have left the BDO helping them out.

I can see a boycott on this from countries and it will be the players that have booked up chasing BDO points that will loose out.

The season and rules start from October and so should anything like this.
Do you know the status of the prize money for the Worlds? Have the BDO guaranteed it in their invite/contract for the event?

I see you disagree with the timing but agree with principle of.paying for points. Guess it brings cash in for the BDO.

Is it just the levy or also the 5% you agree with?

Well the answer is quite simple, Lakeside is on the verge of disappearing, the other BDO 'majors' are all but finished.

EDO, DDB, ADO etc. need to approach the WDF and in turn try and get qualifying places for WDF ranking players in PDC tournaments.
