102 v 102. No dropping off just outplayed.Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 9:10 pm Wright played really well there but yet again mvg lost all interest mid game
He’s got to sort that out, it’s like he doesn’t have the drive any more. He was nowhere near the unbeatable player he was during the tournament
If mvg drops back into the pack that averages late 90s early tons then we are going to see a mix of champions for the next couple of years

Come on give us the pl line-up

He might use the darts for another tourney or two now. He battered MVG there.

Correct. Except for the Bunting match, that was MvGs best performance of the tourney. And he got taken apart.ChrisW wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 9:15 pm102 v 102. Great job peter Bet the 2 in form players to win it, can’t knock the bloke although he dresses like a c*ck he does seem a great bloke..

Thought Wright was fantastic there. MVG gave him chances and he snapped up every single one of them.
A deserving champion and finally he can put to bed the crap that he can only win a major when MVG isn't playing.

He’s dropped off from the player that could bang 107, 110 averages in the worlds over long formatsChrisW wrote:102 v 102. No dropping off just outplayed.Zapp Brannigan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 9:10 pm Wright played really well there but yet again mvg lost all interest mid game

There’s a fair few players that can can hit a 100 average over a long format, any of the premier league lads for starters and if that’s the level darts is at at the minute then we are going to see different winners for a few years.

Well played Wright but how grateful is he that Malicdem blew his chance in round 2.

Probably the best tournament as a whole ever? So many stories and so many great matches. Great final and whilst i didn't expect Wright to win he deserved it and came over as a gracious winner.MVG handled the defeat better than i expected. Hearn must be overjoyed with the publicity and the interest in what comes next for so many players? The money making machine is showing no signs of slowing down.. Just a great tournament.

Well done Wright - deserved that.
Makes up for the near misses he has had at MVG over the years.
