Thos people talking about how impressive the 02 is are completely missing the point. There was never any question that a multi million pound, modern venue was going to be un upgrade on Lakeside. The question was to its viability; how many tickets would be sold, would people travel to London in enough numbers to justify binning Potter's prize money. It took the PDC years before it had grown its brand sufficiently to move away from the Circus Tavern. There should have been a business plan put in place to grow the BDo over a numbert of years. Instead Des has dived into this head first and has reportedly drained the BDO's cash reserves for what looks like an arrogant, bombastic vanity project.

You are spot on. They still can't accept that their mates playing darts are ticket sellers to the general public, and there aren't enough wanting to pay to watch inside the BDO bubble.
