To answer my own question just remembered Bromberg was given one for winning the womens worlds

Looking at darts database both Mawson and Young had a tour card in 2011. Bromberg would have had one as well like you said.

Boris Krcmar into the semi's in euro qualifier. Had the pleasure in being beaten 5-0 by him in soft-tip - very imposing player and seems to have adapted to traditional darts well - he averaged 100.2 in winning the quarter final.

Id probably go for Tabern. But master of q school Newell wouldnt be a surprise. Jason Lowe playing by far the best and most consistent in the top half.

Well he almost did. I assume he went into S16 again when trying for D8. Needed another 3 darts to win.
