Will make a change from always seeing MvG, Wright, Price, Gando, Adrian Lewis, Ian White, Mensur and Chizzy on the main board... :IIII:

They said on itv just now that fallon had to wait TEN hours before playing her first match in this.

Is that seriously right? Absolutely embarrassing if it is.

I know that she had a bye in the last 256 and then in the last 128 her opponent was timed out

I’d say it’s ridiculous, don’t know how you make it less though without capping the entries or having the pdc take over the running of these and have them as open challenge tour type events.

Not really embarrassing though for anyone, if anything it shows the growth in the game that 200 are turning up to these qualifiers

Or try and have more boards. Or actually move it away from Riley's

Its a hard one as the numbers are certainly increasing - I have always looked after the Coventry qualifier and until last year we always used 4 of the 6 boards available (leaving one empty and the other for practice) but due to increased numbers last year we ended up using all 6 boards which meant that we had to set up practice boards upstairs but sadly the PA system does not reach upstairs

If the Rileys venue is unable to provide somebody to run the event then the PDC do send somebody to officiate - I know that Owen Binks was asked by the PDC to look after the Victoria Qualifier this year

I ran an open with 160-170 entries on an 8 board set up. Entries far beyond what we expected. Started at 10.30, done by 6ish.

Shorter format games maybe, but 14 hours is embarrassing. No two ways about it.

It's been like this for years at some of the venues. Bring in a few more stands ffs. Move some pool tables if you have to.

Start time is 12.30pm and Wolves finished at midnight so 11 and half hours - Norwich did well yesterday as they had 170 entries and that was done and dusted by 8.30pm.
