Yes it’s totally mad that a two time worlds quarter finalist is near the top 16 outside of the main OOM!

Whitlock isn't safe - if he drops out of the top 16 he is unlikely to qualify via the Pro Tour. He may just hang on for the Matchplay but will struggle to make the Grand Prix.
