Not great choices of boards to stream but at least we get to see Mr.Bean

How do they pick the matches to stream? Presumably they select matches for a streaming board for each round or does one board play down to board winner on a streaming board as they do the outside boards and then the quarters/semis/final are all on a streamed board?
The 4 L128 games from 2 particular boards will be the 1st set of streaming games.

I believe he was at an exhibition in Minehead.
Lost in the Final to Daryl Fitton.

Yup. Darts in "each game is different" shocker, there.
Also hitting a nine darter doesn’t mean your playing well. Part for example was having an awful game when he hit one on TV against Webby.
Isn’t that the only instance of that happening?

What’s he on about again anyway. He played in both events on the Sunday of challenge tour weekend. He even made the last 16 in the second so don’t see how multiple people now seem to think he didn’t.
I think people have got him confused with Scott Waites, who missed one day of Q School.

Yeah sorry got mixed up with the Scott Mitchell missing Sunday’s quote from above. Plenty have hit 9 darters and not played great darts in the match other than the 9 just look up the results and averages of some of those hit on TV for example.
Look up Velvets averages, they are even shittier.

Losing a match after a 9er is pretty common. Guess it's due to the rush of adrenalin and not refocusing.
But to say it's poor performance in a match where the player did it is daft.

Most of that conversation is moot cos the 9 darter came in a different match than the 68 average

Two examples for you from TV of the top of my head Part and Kyle Anderson (on he debut in the worlds) neither played well in the game other than hitting the nine darter. You don’t have to be playing well to hit one. It’s just one leg.
Yes but how can you possibly say a player isn't playing well when he finishes a leg in 9 darts.

Kyren Wilson hit a 147 break earlier on his first visit to the table, in the first frame.

Rest of the game he was utter utter garbage and needed a decider to get through.

Easy, it’s just 1 leg! It’s like being unable to finish one leg then taking out the double first dart next leg. That’s darts!

And to be fair, the two examples Phil gives are spot on.

So he beat his opponent and played an outstanding frame.

Its no different to the analogy being used. You can have one good leg (or frame) and be garbage the rest of the game.

And yet he made it into the next round.
