All of this is reminiscent of the demise of Hereford United. Loads of promises of payment, meetings with sponsors, investors and always painting a picture of better days ahead. Then, once a deadline involving payment or proof of funds came around nothing but silence.

Even if the great one is in meetings with potential sponsors its just going to be a sticking plaster. How much is anyone really going to offer up in sponsorship? At best he may get enough to cover some existing debts but then what? They'll still have nothing in the bank to pay costs going forward.

If they don't pay these players Des and the rest of the board should be barred from any and every darts event and barred from organising any future events. The players turned up and played in good faith, that faith needs to be repaid in cold hard cash.

Just heard a bit of gossip....if the players aren't paid tmoz, there's a good chance the BDO will be heading for bankruptcy by the end of the week ....and Des will be off on his merry way. Surely with most of the players now stating they have not been paid and ignored ....he would have made a statement on the winnings being paid.

Paula has commented on the non payment thread on Fanatics.. but she never actually mentioned the payment of the money.. She was just digging somebody out about something.... How she can actually go and participate on the thread whilst totally ignoring the question is amazing.. That alone would suggest payment is not imminent or else surely she would have said so....
