Entries have been confirmed for European Tour Three and Four Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, which will take place in Barnsley on March 13.

Under the new qualification criteria for 2020, PDC Tour Card Holders will now compete in one combined qualifier for a total of 24 places in each tournament, having previously been split into UK and European Qualifiers.

The 2020 European Tour, which will visit seven countries, continues in Leverkusen, Germany for the European Darts Open (ET3) from March 27-29.

The German Darts Grand Prix (ET4) will take place in Munich from April 11-13.

Under the new European Tour rules in 2020, the top two non-qualified players from the Host Nation qualify automatically, with Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens competing in both the European Darts Open and the German Darts Grand Prix.

ET3 and 4 cancelled. Why 2 is still taking place is not clear.

Hard to replan these events this year

4 options I can see

1.Play them behind closed doors
2.Move Players Championships to midweek
3.Play ETs Midweek
4.Move Players Championships from later in the year to them weekends to you can still play Euro Tours later in the year

Absolutely.

Putting safety concerns first, when we have a potential pandemic on our hands is indeed pathetic.

Waites qualified for ET2 correct? That’s still taking place?
Probably not, but not cancelled at this stage.

Playing qualifiers for events that may not even happen is beyond ridiculous.

I think they have to play the qualifiers... They are not cancelled but postponed so if they are re scheduled I think they need the qualifiers sorted

Can't see the situation changing that quick in Germany. How many ETs in Germany in the next 6 months?

The qualifiers are before a PC weekend. It's not a big difference in travel arrangements.

In the event the events aren't played (which would be extremely surprising) the PDC can always pay a small amount of money to anyone who qualiifed.

That might be so in terms of travel but it’s still daft when likely that these events won’t take place and if they do then just play the qualifier nearer the time. It’ll just be a glorified practice session for the players involved for the weekend with no money or rankings at stake!

Perfectly valid point. The players will have already booked their hotels and are their for the Pro Tour weekend anyway. If ET 2 never takes place, give the qualifiers the £1000. Covers their cost for the weekend.

Would be surprised if they do that with no ticket revenue.
